A Prayer Times App With a Qaza Tracker Built In

Most prayer apps tell you when Fajr starts. Then they go quiet. IDeen keeps going: it logs what you prayed, counts what you owe, and helps you work the backlog down week by week.

Most of us stopped counting years ago

You know roughly how many prayers you have missed. Roughly. Maybe a few years of it, maybe more, and the number sits somewhere at the back of your mind where you do not look at it.

That vagueness is the problem. A debt you cannot see is a debt you never start paying. So you promise yourself you will sort it out later, and later keeps moving.

IDeen makes the number real. Then it makes it smaller.

One tap. Three honest answers.

Every prayer gets a quick log card with three buttons: Done, Missed, and Qaza.

Here is the part other trackers miss. You can tap Done and Qaza together. That covers the day you prayed Asr on time and also made up an old Asr, which is exactly what making up a backlog looks like in real life. One tap for each, and both land in your record.

No streak guilt. No sad graphics when you tap Missed. Just an accurate log.

You see the whole window, not just the start

The card shows the real range. Isha, for example, reads 8:14 PM to 12:34 AM.

That matters more than it sounds. If you get home at 11:40 PM, knowing you still have time changes what you do next. A start time alone leaves you guessing whether you have already lost it.

The qaza tracker does the arithmetic

Open Qaza and you get the running count, by prayer, without you keeping a note in your phone.

Qaza

Set what you owe. Log a make-up whenever you pray one, and watch the pile come down.

Reports

Turns the record into a picture of what you are holding steady on, what keeps slipping and which prayer is your weak one, so you stop guessing at it. Usually it is the same one every week.

Tracker

The day to day log that feeds both. Backdate a prayer you forgot to mark and the history stays honest.

Adhan, qibla, and the daily rhythm

Turn the adhan on or off in settings. Qibla sits on the home screen, not four menus deep. And the Daily tab holds the short things you should never have to go looking for.

Read the Quran in the tarjuma you follow

Translation is a choice, not a default someone picked for you.

Pick your language, then pick the scholar. Kanz-ul-Iman by Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi is in the app now, with Urdu as a quick-select language. Arabic tafsir sits alongside it as an optional layer you can leave off.

More tafsir is on the way: Ma’ariful Qur’an, Bayan-ul-Qur’an, Tafsir Usmani, Khazain-ul-Irfan, Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Tafsir al-Tabari and Taysir al-Karim ar-Rahman. Those are listed as coming soon in the app, not available yet.

Paid

Recorded courses when the basics need work

If your salah has a habit you were never corrected on, reading another article will not fix it. Watching someone do it might.

IDeen carries recorded courses in qaida, tajweed, salah and duas. Watch at your own pace and rewind the bit you keep getting wrong as many times as you need to. The courses are paid, but every part of the tracker works without them.

Your record stays yours

Cloud sync is optional. Sign in and your log backs up, so a new phone does not wipe three years of history. Skip it and everything stays on the device.

Either way, it is your call, not a condition of using the app.

Common questions

Is IDeen free?

The prayer times, tracker, qaza log, reports and qibla are free. The recorded courses are paid.

Do I need an account?

No. Sign in only if you want cloud backup.

Can I log qaza for prayers I missed years ago?

Yes. That is what the Qaza screen is for. Enter what you owe and mark them off as you make them up.

Will it work if I switch phones?

Only if cloud sync is on before you switch. Turn it on now rather than the day you upgrade.

Which Quran translation is available?

Kanz-ul-Iman by Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi, with more translations and tafsir listed as coming soon.

Start with today’s prayer

You do not have to reckon with the whole backlog tonight. Log one prayer. Then log tomorrow’s.

The count only moves in one direction once you start.
